The society is now in its 41st year and meetings take place in the Town Hall Llantwit Major on the second Wednesday of each month from September to March inclusive.
The aims of the society are :

To foster an interest in the history of Llantwit Major and its surroundings.

To promote research into its history, customs and traditions.

To recover and preserve documents, prints and photographs of the town.

To make and preserve a visual, written and sound record of the town past and present.

To encourage the preservation of ancient rights, sites, buildings and footpaths.
