Membership of the Society costs £7.50 per year

 

The Society meets for for talks on local history on the first Friday of the month from September to April at the Lesser hall of the Cowbridge Town Hall, at 7.30pm.

 

New members are always welcome.

The aims of the Society are as follows :-

·
to foster an interest in the history of Cowbridge and its district

·
to promote research into its history, customs and traditions.

·
to make and preserve a visual, written and sound record of the regions past and present for  posterity.

·
encourage the preservation of ancient rights, sites, buildings and footpaths.

The Society meets for for talks on local history on the first Friday of the month from September to April at the Lesser hall of the Cowbridge Town Hall, at 7-30 pm. New members are always welcome.

The Society publishes a Newsletter 3 times a year.

To commemorate the granting of Cowbridge's first charter, Charter Day is celebrated on March 13th each year,often with a meal and a visit to a historic building.
